Sports Radio 610 AM Greater Golf Express Official Contest Rules-As of 8/27/08
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
How to Enter the Contest:
a. The Sports Radio 610AM WFNZ “Greater Golf Express Giveaway” contest (the “Contest”) will begin on Monday, September 1, 2008 at approximately 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and end on August 28, 2009 at approximately 6:00 p.m. ET (“Contest Period”)
b. To participate in the Contest, there is one (1) way to enter:
Internet Entries: Go to the Sports Radio 610AM WFNZ (the “Station”) website at www.wfnz.com beginning at 6:00 am ET on September 1, 2008, follow the links and instructions to enter and submit your first name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, home telephone number, date of birth and a valid email address in the online entry form. Only one (1) Internet entry per person and one (1) Internet entry per email address, over the entire Contest Period is permitted. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online serve provider or other organization that is responsible by assigning email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address. All entries submitted become the sole property of the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. For purposes of these Official Rules, “receipt” of an online entry will be solely determined when the www.wfnz.com web server records the entry information. Any automated computer receipt (Such as one confirming delivery of email) does not constitute actual receipt of an entry form for purposes of these Official Rules. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by Station. Station’s computer is the official time keeping device for the Contest.
Entries must be received 5:59 pm ET on the following dates in order to be eligible for that month’s drawing: September 26, 2008; October 31, 2008; November 28, 2008; December 26, 2008; January 30, 2009; February 27, 2009; March 27, 2009; April 24, 2009; May 29, 2009; June 26, 2009; July 24, 2009; August 28, 2009.
c. Station is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
a. The Contest is open to all Station listeners who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who reside in the Charlotte Total Survey Area, as defined by Arbitron. Employees of Greater Golf Express, the Station, its licensee, their corporate parents, affiliated entities, its affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Charlotte metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
b. Listeners are eligible to win a Station contest only once every sixty (60) days and a prize valued over $600.00 or more only once every six (6) months. Only one (1) winner per household/per family is permitted in any sweepstakes.
c. Winners will be required to present a government issued photo I.D. to claim prize.
d. Contestants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the Station will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
3. Prizes:
a. Twelve (12) prizes will be awarded. Each prize consists of a $50 voucher for a Greater Golf Express Video Analysis. Voucher that can be redeemed at the Greater Golf Express store located at 10400-C Centrum Parkway, Pineville, NC 28134. Voucher expires on December 31, 2009. Approximate Retail Value: $50.00
b. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of the Station at the address below Monday through Friday during regular business hours. The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty (30) days of winning. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
c. Note: There is no substitution, transfer or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. The prize winners of the will be subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by the prize provider. Other restrictions may apply.
4. Selection of Winners:
a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Contest are final.
b. A total of twelve (12) winners will be selected. One (1) winner will be selected each month in a random drawing of all eligible entries received for that month by the respective entry deadline as indicated in Section 1. Random drawings will be held at approximately 6:00pm ET on the following dates: September 26, 2008; October 31, 2008; November 28, 2008; December 26, 2008; January 30, 2009; February 27, 2009; March 27, 2009; April 24, 2009; May 29, 2009; June 26, 2009; July 24, 2009; August 28, 2009. Non winning entries from previous drawings will be added to the pool of entries for subsequent drawings.
c. Winners need not listen or be present to win.
d. Winners will be contacted via telephone no later than the Monday following each prize drawing. If the winner cannot be contacted within three (3) days of notification attempt, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected by a random drawing of the remaining eligible entries received and will be notified by telephone.
e. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
f. Winners must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within thirty (30) days of winning or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will not be selected.
5. Conditions:
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.
b. By participating in the Contest, winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require winners to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold CBS Radio, the Station, its corporate licensee, and each of their parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Contest.
d. Station in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by telephone virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
e. Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any prize-related events are delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the Contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
f. Failure to comply with the sweepstakes rules may result in a Contestant’s disqualification at the sole discretion of Station.
g. Copies of the written Contest rules are available during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at the main studio of Sports Radio 610AM WFNZ, 1520 South Blvd., Suite #300, Charlotte, N.C. 28203. Rules & Regulations and a list of prize winners (when complete) may be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to Sports Radio 610AM WFNZ “Greater Golf Express Giveaway” Contest, 1520 South Blvd., Suite #300, Charlotte, NC 28203.
6. Internet Contest Privacy Policy:
