Not only is Chad Ocho Cinco going on Dancing With the Stars this offseason but he will have his own VH1 dating show as well.  Let me be the latest to annunce that I am officially overdosing on Ocho. Seriously, Ocho even Brett Favre thinks your an attention whore.

For the third time in 3 seasons Wake Forest is staggering as the season reaches the finish line. There has been some talk from Niner Nation this week that Bobby Lutz should be canned.   Some Wake fans definitely feel the same way about Gaudio and who can blame them. You have a great PG in Ish Smith and a future Lottery pick in Aminu and you lose 5 of 6 and get run by Miami!!  Plus, you would think this team has never seen a 2-3 zone before (but hell that is all they see).  Expect the Deacs to be calling this man Dino Gotta go alot in the coming weeks (T-Bone told me that is what the Wake message board geeks call him).   With all of this said, the Deacs are probably still safely in the NCAA field, but don’t blink, you might miss them!!

Hope everyone had a great holiday.  Were back blogging in 2010 on the Mac Slackers Blog.    Most of our New Years Resolutions dont last past the first week but what should the resolutions be for some our local teams?   Lets take a look.

Duke basketball:  To get back to  to the Final Four and re establish yourself an an elite power in College Basketball.

UNC basketball :  Get to the Sweet Sixteen after losing the vast majority of your Championship roster.

NC State basketball:  Find as many creative ways to lose as possible, like 60 foot runners at the buzzer.  Wait that already happened.

Carolina Panthers:     Bring John Fox back but let him know he has to change his ways.  Tom Couglin never changed his ways for a long time and the year he did the Giants went on to win the Super Bowl.

Charlotte Bobats:   Get to a playoff series against Cleveland and bring some NBA hype for the Queen City for a few weeks.  If LBJ cant fire people up then who can?

Cole Hamels stated after game 3 Saturday Night that he couldnt wait for the season to be over.   This is the Phillies probable starter for game 7 of the World Series.  A guy that doesnt even really want to pitch at this point.  Keep in mind that the Phillies have a guy in their pen by the name of J.A. Happ.  Hes a rookie that went 12-4 this year with a 2.93 ERA and 119 ks.  He started a game at Yankee stadium in June going 6 innings, giving up 4 hits, 2 earned runs, and struck out 4 while walking none.

I feel this is the biggest mistake Charlie Manuel could make.  Showing too much loyalty to a guy who did something for you in the past.  Sound familliar?    Its the same thing we have in Charlotte with a certain Head Coach and a certain QB

We found out during a break today that two of Celanias favorite movies are ”Must Love Dogs”  and the “Notebook”  Umm excuse me?  Your 60 years old.   You live  alone, You have no chick, and this is how your spending your spare time?   I have seen both these movies also and cried during the Notebook , BUT thats only because I was forced to.

Well Dale Jr finally says he has had enough and is at the end of his rope.   Why all of a sudden has he had enough???   I guess it took 1 win in 3 years for him to realize he sucks.   Thats like  me waking up one day  during my 3 years slump with the ladies and realizing  I had no game whatsoever.  People had been telling me that for years, just like we have been telling Junior for years that hes overrated.   Better luck next year.

I dont think the question should be asked anymore, Jake Delhomme is done as a starter in the NFL.  They have won the last two games inspite of two pick sixes for touchdowns.  Im not saying there are great options behind him, but if they want to make a move towards respectibility this season  “Double Trouble”  better be prepared to carry the ball 50 times a game at least.

In one of the most historic performances in WFNZ history,  Celania just hosted an entire Mac Attack by himself and didnt pass out half way thru.  Add him to the list of current “oldies” getting it done like Favre, Pedro, and Regis.  Kudos Jimmy, enjoy your 19 coors lights today/tonight.
