DALE EARNHARDT
The Kannapolis native won a record 7 Cup Championships and 76 races in his illustrious NASCAR career. His hard nosed racing style earned him the nickname 'The Intimidator.' He was the prefect hero for the common man because he was a guy who enjoyed hunting and fishing and chillin' in blue jeans but also worked his tail off to become one of the best racers of all time. NASCAR Racing hasn't been the same since he passed away in 2001 in a crash at Daytona and the sport has been searching for another Senior since his death. He edged out Jerry Richardson and Sam Mills as Mac's choice for the honor of being in the first ever Mac Attack Hall of Fame Class.
MUGGSY BOGUES
Muggsy might be the most popular player in the history of the Charlotte Hornets. He spent the first 9 seasons of the franchise's history with the Hornets and played a huge role in the heyday of NBA Basketball in the QC. At 5'3, he is the shortest player to ever play in the NBA and because of that, he is the hero of shorties everywhere (just ask T-Bone). He is still the Hornets career leader in minutes played, assists and steals and he is even better off the court than he was on it. He was the fans choice for this spot in the Inaugural Mac Attack Hall of Fame class.
